Fashion (clothing) is an art to express human lifestyle today. Fashion designing is a dialogue and communication between garment and wearer. It is a dynamic profession as fashion changes with change in time, environment, culture and attitude to life. A Fashion Designer is one who visualizes different dressing styles to suit different personalities on different occasions and transforms these visuals into realities in the form of dresses by using various techniques. It is an art and science of making a personality pleasing, impressive and admirable through conventional and non-conventional dressing styles. This course has been designed by a panel of experts and offers the science and magic of colours, designs, materials and creations of clothes for those with a flair for Fashion. It covers the concepts, principles, theories, techniques and trends of Fashion Designing.

FASHION SHOW (REFLECTION NX):

           A Fashion show is arranged every year to show case the designs created by Advanced Diploma Students. This gives good exposure to the creativity and talent of the students. This show is attended by famous people in Fashion Industry which provides opportunities for the students for better job placements and interactions.

INTERNSHIP:

           Students are given two months of work experience in a fashion industry after completing the Advance Diploma course. The                            industrial training is provided at one of the following outlets:

  • Roman Arts, Mumbai

  • Roop Milan Sarees, Marine Lines

  • ‘K’ line, Ghatkopar (E)

  • Maana Clothing (Export House)

  • Deepika Arora (Signature line)

  • New Excel Wear, Dadar

  • Sweet Fashions, Santacruz

  • Kno-Flage (Designer line)

  • Texports International Pvt. Ltd., Andheri

  • 10. Bombay Rayon India Ltd.

  • 11. Pink Fario (Boutique)

EXAMINATION PATTERN:

  • Internal Assessment throughout the year

  • Annual Theory and Practical examinations

  • Minimum passing marks are 40%

  • Students failing or defaulting in the internal assessment will not be permitted to take final exams.
